Just opened in 2008, this impressive new facility on the campus of Stetson School of Law. It is right off I-275 in Downtown and promises to be a very popular special event site for up to 150 guests.
While the possibility of holding an outdoor ceremony is unclear, the hall boasts a large atrium area that can be utilized along with a smaller boardroom.
The Cohen Hall easily accommodates a nice reception although it is carpeted and will require a rented dance floor . . . Around $450. The room is equipped with dimmers so its ambiance can be appreciated.
The basic cost for the hall is around $1300. This includes all 72" round guest tables for 10-12 people, long tables, and padded chairs.
A lavish separate bar area decked out in all dark wood furnishings offers a unique mingling area. You are welcome to furnish your own alcohol. We are delighted with the functional kitchen complete with ice machine!
Don't miss out on booking this amazing new venue . .
Operated by the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF THIS VENUE
Explore the many possibilities of this location. Downtown Tampa is continuing to evolve with more cultural and natural backdrops for outdoor ceremonies. The well-appointed interior requires little decoration except for the ceremony. We suggest you invest in upgraded table decor to enhance the surroundings.
Lozano Loft at Lions Eye Institute TC
A renovated cigar factory, the Lions Eye Institute offers a second floor banquet facility that can accommodate up to 200 guests for weddings in the meeting room and reception in main room. Traditional brick walls with exposed rafter ceilings, and natural wood pillars give the Loft character.
The rooms are carpeted but a permanent dance floor is ideally placed in the center of the room.
Its location in the heart of Ybor City, is completely fenced in with plenty of on-site parking and security. Guests enter the building through the main floor lobby and a separate ramp and service entrance is in the basement.
The ballroom features 60" round tables and padded ballroom style chairs. A combination of high and low cocktail tables and long classroom tables are available.
Get creative with the styling of the interior and utilize brighter colors that compliment the red brick walls and offset the darker brown features.
Keep the wooden window shades open whenever possible for more natural lighting. Rent the meeting room . . . you need the space.
The Downsides:
Lions Eye is PRIMARILY a medical facility. That means a specific location for live and dj music on the left side of the room because of possible donor family meetings on the first floor below.
Dance floor cannot be moved
The facility does not allow any open flames including candles. Sterno for chafing dishes is permitted, but no station cooking indoors.
There is only ONE ELEVATOR and it must be shared between vendors and guests. As a client, you need to expect and be cool with service items being taken out in front of guests prior to the end of the event. Otherwise, breakdown could put your event into overtime.
